Seiko SRP233 Limited Edition Watch

If you can say just one thing about the Seiko SRP233, it certainly would not be that this watch is understated. Straight away you will be dazzled by the incredibly bright colours. I have to admit, this isn’t a watch for everybody, but for those that want to showcase their playful personality I think this is the perfect match.

In recent years Seiko has come under a lot of criticism for the fact that they don’t make watches like they did in the past. Back then they perhaps made some of the best watches in the world, but over the past few years they have suffered a bit of a fall from grace. This is a great shame as I absolutely love Seiko! I think the main problem is that they tend to focus on the actual look of the watch rather than how well it functions. From what I can tell, this particular watch can lose up to four seconds of time a day. It may not seem like a lot, but it certainly does add up! I think the problem is the fact that the watch is a self-winding watch, something which you don’t really see nowadays, which is why many people are quick to notice that it does lose a tiny bit of time. It isn’t really a big issue though (in my opinion at least) but I just wanted to point it out.

Now, please don’t let that put you off the watch! Recently the company seems to have been introducing updated versions of the watch which keeps time perfectly. If you purchase now then you shouldn’t really have too many problems.

In my opinion, the fantastic thing about Seiko is that they know how to create a watch which stands out from the rest in some ways. The Seiko SRP233 certainly isn’t going to be a watch that you will be wearing to formal events (unless it is an 80’s party I guess), but it certainly is going to become a favourite in your day to day life. We all know that a watch is meant to symbolise the personality of the wearer, and that fantastic red colour literally screams that you are a fun loving person. This is backed up with a black rubber band to ensure that the colours are sort of balanced out. It is crazy….just not too crazy. As you can expect from a Seiko Watch, everything is made to a very high standard.

If you are looking for a fairly well-priced watch that has also been crafted with a fairly good design in place then I really do suggest that you look into the Seiko range, in particular the SRP233. It may not be the best watch that they have ever created, but honestly at this price you can’t have too many complaints. You are going to end up with something that lasts you many years to come, and it is going to look fantastic on your wrist. Check it out here!
